About Aristoi
Complex change requires more than just a good plan
Aristoi helps organizations align their ambitions, interests, strategy, structure, and execution—so that complex programs can truly get off the ground.
Where Change Gets Stuck
Many complex programs do not lack ambition, knowledge, or committed people. Yet their implementation stalls.
Not because a single component is missing, but because the overall cohesion is insufficient: goals are not clearly shared, interests diverge, responsibilities are fragmented, or the chosen strategy does not align well with what organizations are actually capable of accomplishing.
Aristoi operates precisely at that intersection.
We bring structure to complex projects, identify where the real roadblocks lie, and help clients realign decision-making, collaboration, and execution.
This also led to the development of the ARISTOI model: a practical framework for examining complex change from the perspective of seven interconnected dimensions.
Experience Behind the Approach
Aristoi was founded by Erwin van der Linden, a business administrator and program producer with over twenty years of experience at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and collaboration.
That experience ranges from the Port of Rotterdam Authority and European innovation programs to regional transitions and public-private partnerships. The core question remains the same in every case: How do you organize change when no single party is solely in control?
In various roles—ranging from strategist and program manager to consortium and project leader—Erwin worked on programs in which government agencies, companies, research institutions, and European partners had to collaborate to achieve results.
The right people for the job
Complex issues rarely call for a single discipline. That is why Aristoi operates as a lean, network-based organization.
We deliberately keep the core team small. Depending on the assignment, we assemble a team of experienced specialists from our network—for example, in the areas of governance, research, European programs, communications, stakeholder management, and subject-matter expertise.
This means that clients maintain a single, clear chain of command and line of responsibility, while the necessary expertise can be brought in flexibly.
In doing so, we prefer to work with people and organizations with whom we have collaborated before and who share our values: strong in substance, independent, and results-oriented.
Compact and well-organized
Short lines of communication and direct involvement.
Specialized where necessary
Expertise is tailored to the specific task.
A Unified Approach
Not a collection of individual consultants, but an approach centered on a single issue and a unified methodology.
Where are you stuck on your assignment?
Sometimes it’s clear what needs to change, but not how to get all parties, stakeholders, and implementation on the same page. Sometimes a program is already underway, but there’s a lack of ownership, decision-making , or progress.
A brief conversation is often enough to pinpoint where the first move might be made.
